Composição
As CPOrgs são compostas paritariamente por, no mínimo, quatro e, no máximo, dez membros de organizações governamentais, titulares e suplentes, e igual número de membros de organizações não-governamentais e demais segmentos do setor privado, que tenham reconhecida atuação no âmbito da produção orgânica.
As CPOrgs são coordenadas por técnicos nomeados pelas Superintendências Federais de Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (SFAs), de cada Unidade da Federação. Os chefes das Divisões Técnicas das SFAs são responsáveis pela definição dos membros representantes do setor público, devendo para isso ouvir os representantes do setor privado.
A escolha dos membros das organizações não-governamentais e demais segmentos do setor privado se dará por processo conduzido pelo coordenador da CPOrg. A Instrução Normativa nº 54, de 22 de outubro de 2008, regulamenta a estrutura, composição e atribuições das Comissões da Produção Orgânica. Confira abaixo a composição da CPOrg - GO.
